    Amilcar Payan

    Amilcar is an experienced human resources professional, staffing manager, and department leader. In his role, he is driven by bringing aboard the best employees in the industry and building and supporting the resources and culture that make WMI truly unique.

    Amilcar brings to WMI over ten years of experience in human resources specializing in the construction industry.

    He holds a BA in Business Administration from Marymount California University and a certification in Human Resources Management.

    Amilcar grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He passionate about helping people (and playing fantasy football), dreams of visiting the seven wonders of the world, and is a self-proclaimed leading purchaser of sneakers. Having a real impact on each employee is always his priority.

    Mauricio Gonzalez

    SAFETY & QUALITY MANAGER

    As Safety & Quality Manager, Mauricio ensures the highest safety and quality standards for WMI projects, products, and services. He focuses on developing a culture that prioritizes a safe, secure, and attention-oriented culture that the WMI team can apply to their work and lives. By prioritizing safety and quality, Mauricio creates a productive and safe workplace, resulting in projects that meet the highest standards of excellence.

    Mauricio has nearly a decade of experience in the general contracting and sub-trade industry. His certifications include OSHA 500, OSHA 510, OSHA 5109, OSHA 2225, 3M Certified Qualitative Fit Tester, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, Scaffold Competent Person, Powered Industrial Truck certified, and Certified Rigger.

    Mauricio grew up in Torrance, CA. He plays chess daily, is an avid collector of baseball cards, and finds comfort in good food, the smell of coffee in the morning, and nature. He is inspired by reaching new professional goals (and dominating the baseball trivia landscape).

    Jordan Chacon

    Jordan is an experienced plumbing service contractor, project manager, and department leader. In his role, he is driven by building projects that both shape the skyline and impact small communities. His varied experience allows him to bring innovative solutions to various market sectors, project sizes, scopes, and client types. His interest in and implementing industry-leading technology gives clients staff a competitive edge.

    For over 12 years, Jordan has worked in the plumbing industry, and he joined WMI in 2020. He previously worked at Allied Subcontractors Corp and held a position at 20/20 Plumbing & Heating handling Sales and Project Management for the newly formed LA Division.

    He holds an MSc in Management from Birkbeck, University of London; a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder College; a C-36 Plumbing Contractor license; and is OSHA 30-Hour certified.

    Jordan grew up in Yorba Linda, CA. He is an expert in knifemaking, carnival games, and finding the funny in life. His karaoke song of choice is Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’ and his guilty pleasure is Ben & Jerry’s Thick Mint.

    Jeff Wright

    HVAC Service Manager

    Jeff is an experienced HVAC service manager, technician, and department leader. In his role, he is driven by quick and accurate service executed collaboratively with the HVAC management team. He takes pride in using his skills to develop innovative, inspired technicians.

    For over 26 years, Jeff has worked in the HVAC industry, and he joined WMI in 2016. He previously held positions at Oxnard Heating and Sheet Metal, Ventura Air Conditioning Co, West Coast Air Conditioning, Cinetech Services, and Precise Air Systems—beginning as a sheet metal installer before spending the majority of his career as an HVAC service technician.

    He holds certifications in EPA Section 608 Universal; Carrier Reciprocating Liquid Chiller; Data Aire Inc Technical Training; and ESCO Universal R-410A Safety and Training, and has completed training in Carrier 3V Control System; Mitsubishi City Multi VRF; Samsung DVM S VRF; and LG Multi V.

    Jeff grew up in Camarillo, CA. He is an expert in heating and cooling and largemouth bass fishing, has enough fishing lures and equipment for an army, can kill a pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream (no problem), and knows children are the future – and is passionate about helping them thrive.

    Raina Grundy-Carroll

    Accounting Manager

    “Being “on budget” is one of the most important aspects of our work, and my role is critical in achieving that goal. I come to work every day knowing my work matters.”

    Raina is an experienced project accountant and leader of WMI’s accounting department. She is responsible for the financial management of construction projects and the business as a whole. She combines her unique project management and operations skillsets with her strength in short and long-term forecasting, problem-solving, and vendor management.

    Raina has over seven years of experience specializing in project accounting in the AEC industry, focusing on large-scale multi-family residential and hospitality projects. Before joining WMI, Raina was a project accountant for a Los Angeles-based commercial general contractor, which brings invaluable expertise as a subcontractor.

    She obtained a degree in product development and business from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), Los Angeles.

    Raina grew up in Oakland, California, where she studied dance and performance from a young age. Her passion led to a five-year stint as a professional dancer for the Golden State Warriors. She initially came to Southern California to pursue dancing, print, and commercial work.

    Anthony is a well-versed HVAC project manager and department leader. In his role, he is driven by making an impact at all levels – continuing to shape the industry and the lives of his peers and employees. He is a constant student focused on continuously learning, finding innovative solutions, and staying curious.

    Anthony has over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry with a focus on multi-family residential and large-scale projects in the federal, state, private, and military markets. Before joining WMI, he worked at Alpha Mechanical, Countywide Mechanical, and Comfort Systems.

    He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cal Poly Pomona; C20, C61, and D06 licenses; and is OSHA 30-Hour certified.

    Everyone that knows Anthony knows that he gives his all to his work and his family – lesser known, he played NCAA DIV.III ice hockey. He looks forward to watching his son grow up and eventually retiring to a beach town and running a snorkel shack.
